Redesign of a three-bedroom mews house in W1, London

This project involved the installation of new lighting and redecoration throughout. Aside from creating a warm, comfortable new living space for their family, the owners have seen a 450% return on their investment in this project.

  • Commissioning of a bespoke fitted bookcase with integrated lighting, designed to seamlessly appear to be an original fixture to the property.
  • A decorative limestone fireplace installed in the living room created a much needed focal point to the room.
  • Hand sourced decorative furniture and art works complete and set the tone throughout the design adding drama to the home.
  • The original herringbone hardwood flooring was restored to its rich lustre, reinstating much needed character to the living and dining rooms.
  • Imported geometric pendant lighting created a touch of elegance and drama.

Modern entertaining for a South London family

This project involved transforming a neutral living room and large underutilised transitional entrance space into an entertainers delight. The client’s collection of vibrate ethnic art and accessories collected from overseas travels formed the basis of the design. The project is ongoing with the kitchen and bedrooms to be featured in the near future.

  • Created extensive furniture floor plans to maximise space and to create a warm and inviting ambience. This included re-positioning wall radiators and lighting.
  • Colour consultation enabled the client to visualise how existing artworks would look and set the tone for the interior schemes.
  • Sourcing additional key furniture and additional accessory elements to create a cohesive look.

Getting the basics right

The brief for this three-bedroom, 1950’s 111 square metre (1,200 square feet) flat in London W2 required the decoration to be neutral allowing the client to place the property either on the rental market or place it for sale.

Our aim was to create a bright and airy interior with an emphasis on high-quality finish. The flat has therefore undergone a full modernisation. Works included:

  • Antiquated electrics and lighting have been updated, including new wiring and LED spot lights throughout.
  • Newly installed engineered strand bamboo flooring and sound insulation, resulting in a warm and homely character.
  • Full bathroom replacement, including floor-to-ceiling large format porcelain tiles (to create an illusion of space) as well as modern fittings.
  • A new, fully-fitted high-gloss kitchen, including concealed appliances. This has created a streamlined contemporary-styled kitchen allowing more light into the room.
  • The existing mains water boiler was upgraded with a combi-boiler including new central heating radiators installed throughout.
  • New double glazed windows have been fitted for additional sound and heat insulation, as well as improved natural lighting.
